It has been very fun, and I have been able to step outside my comfort zone, but I find it very frustrating that we cannot make comments or ask questions unless they are insanely sappy sweet. I had commented on one that it was a beautiful picture but they went to heavy on the linen filter in Photo shop. You'd have thought I called it an obscene affront to humanity.

So, my point being, while I enjoy the cchallenges, I am wondering if I could do better and break out on my own with something more local in flair, maybe geared to those in the 616? I am really surprised at how many people enjoy photography, don't really want to be Paulie Photo pro, but still want to take the occasional wedding or confirmation pictures and feel like they have contributed. And come on - - admit it, we all LOVE to hear we are talented and take amazing pictures.

I need to think on this and decide if I have the time to devote to such a project. My vision is to have it be local - 616 area, have a weekly challenge and then maybe once a month do a walk about or location shoot for a few hours on a Saturday morning.

I also started to promote the car photography! Calling it Double Nickle Portraiture, get it double nickle - 55, like the speed limit... Yeah, I am probably the only one...

More to follow - need to hit the hay and dream up more amazing projects!

Just finishing up the last round of senior pictures before heading off to Wedding season. This was a fun shoot. He is a local kid who waited till the last minute to do his senior pic's. We had the perfect winter day. Shadows gave me a bit of grief, but I am overall happy with the shots.
I am looking forward to the first wedding of the spring. In talking with the Bride, it is a very casual ceremony, second time for both. It sounds like their kids will be the attendents. It is a country theme, complete with cowboy hats for the groom. Lots of ideas running in my head for this one.

I am wrapping up the business plan for the Car Porn business. I am uber excited to see this taking shape. I need to clean up the tag line. Basically, I am shoting the vintage and classic cars for car shows and doing what I'd like to consider, AMAZING things with. Turning a classic back into the sleek sexy machine through photos. I have BIG plans for this venture, so stay tuned!!
